Brunswick Aces The Joker Vodka
An enticing move to use their own non-alc product as a way to cut the abv down. By having the distilled water be the element that adds flavour, rather than flavouring the alcohol itself, it retains a distinct vodka characteristic, with the lime being a more subtle, secondary element. On the nose, the aroma of desert lime is incredibly subtle, with just a wisp of sweet lime blossom and a hint of white pepper discernible. The palate does present with a nice burst of fresh citrus, but still, the texture of the vodka is the star of the show with this spirit. In the finish, some more of the nuances of the desert lime become apparent, with its more camphor flavours coming out. The non-alcoholic sapiir that is used does contain chilli, however, within the vodka the heat has dropped away completely, leaving just a hint of fruity chilli behind.
