McArthur Ridge

Since '02, the once-sparse Alexandra Valley site has grown from its initial 15ha of plantings to a whopping 185ha today – making it the largest vineyard in Central Otago. The majority is planted to pinot noir, of which winemaker Matt Connell makes wines under 3 tiers. Brassknocker is the entry-level pinot of the portfolio, followed by the Southern Tor range and premium reserve pinot noir, The McArthur. A little chardonnay and pinot gris round out the offering. -KATRINA BUTLER
