Mike Press Wines

South Australia | Adelaide Hills | The Adelaide Hills are traditional lands and waters of the Peramangk and Kaurna peoples.

Our Review

Mike and Judy Press established their Kenton Valley Vineyards in '98, when they purchased 34ha of land in the Adelaide Hills at an elevation of 500m. They planted mainstream cool-climate varieties (merlot, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and pinot noir) intending to sell the grapes to other wine producers. Even an illustrious 43-year career in the wine industry did not prepare Mike for the downturn in grape prices that followed, leading to the development of the Mike Press wine label. They produce high-quality sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, rose, pinot noir, merlot, shiraz, cabernet merlot and cabernet sauvignon, which are sold at mouth-wateringly low prices. -JAMES HALLIDAY
