Our Review
Just as oaks from acorns grow, so has Chellodene. Josephine Lamattina and Jon Foster decided to crush 1 tonne of grapes in 2000, strictly for their own enjoyment. However, sharing the wines with friends led to requests for winemaking for both friends and neighbours, with the news spreading so that some of Chellodene's clients come from far and wide. In 2007 they crushed 36 tonnes of nine varieties, making everything from rose to fortified wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY
