Roman and Margaret Sobiesiak acquired their property in 2002. It had 0.25ha of shiraz planted in the 1970s. A progressive planting program has seen the area increase to 6ha: shiraz (3.6ha) accounting for the lion's share, the remainder equally split to tempranillo, mourvedre, merlot and cabernet sauvignon. They adopted a dry-grown approach, which meant slow development during the prolonged drought, but their commitment remains undimmed. Indeed, visiting many wine regions around the world and working within the industry locally has increased their determination. Exports to Poland. -JAMES HALLIDAY
