Our Review
Kenneth and Janice Burton purchased Mt Samaria Vineyard in 2012 from founders Judy and Roger Cowan, who had planted shiraz, tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon and pinot gris in 1992. Kenneth plans to keep the striking wombat labels of Mt Samaria ('even though the wombat in the vineyard is a bit of a pest'), while continuing his Howqua Valley Wines brand in Mansfield. -JAMES HALLIDAY
