Diletto

Diletto, an Italian word meaning ‘to take pleasure’, is a new label from Giant Step’s winemaker Melanie Chester and Mulline’s Ben Mullen (and respective partners). Born out of a love of syrah, their first wine was from the 1969-planted Westgate vineyard just outside of Great Western. There are plans to expand the range to single-vineyard shiraz wines from other great sites in Australia, too. -PHILIP RICH
