Ferguson Falls Estate

Peter Giumelli and family are dairy farmers in the lush Ferguson Valley, 180km south of Perth. Peter's interest in wine production was inspired by his grandfather's much earlier vineyard in the Paradise area. Domenico Giumelli, arrived from the Valtellina region of Northern Italy in 1898, and some years later he began farming on 150 acres of what had once been the Henty Estate. They have planted cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot, tempranillo and verdelho. -JAMES HALLIDAY
