Ron Waterhouse and Christine Smart run Briery Estate (formerly Jacaranda Homestead) in the hills of Bindoon. They have 9ha of verdelho, pinot noir, grenache, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, muscat, furmint and harslevelu, although they steer away from varietal naming of their wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY
