By Halliday Promotion

There's nothing like semillon from the Hunter Valley. If you're new to the variety – or just looking for some excellent recommendations – start here.

Excellent examples of single-varietal semillon are characterised by a fresh citrus palate and high acidity that translates to complex, buttery flavours with bottle-age. The climate of New South Wales's Hunter Valley was seemingly made for this grape, and produces the most standout styles of anywhere in the country. If you're new to the variety, start here. Compare bright, young styles alongside older, museum releases for a wine experience unlike any other – best paired with delicious seafood dishes.
