Belford Block Eight

The existing 2ha each of semillon, shiraz and chardonnay were planted in 2000. The vineyard had been left to its own devices for two years before Jeff Ross and Todd Alexander purchased it in 2012. With the help of local consultant Jenny Bright, the vineyard was nursed back to health just in time for the celebrated '14 vintage. With a bit more TLC, and Daniel Binet continuing to make the wines, the future should be bright. Vines, olives, ducks, chickens, perch, yabbies and vegetables are all grown and harvested from the 40ha property. -JAMES HALLIDAY
