Deonte Wines

This is the venture of Zhijun (George) Hu, who started a virtual winery with the primary purpose of exporting to China. The initial focus has been on the Yarra Valley, Coonawarra and the Barossa Valley, shiraz figuring prominently, either as a single variety, or as part of a blend with cabernet sauvignon. Having neither a vineyard nor a winery affords George maximum flexibility in purchasing grapes and/or bulk wine, and he does have ongoing exclusive grape supply contracts from 12.29ha in the Barossa Valley. -JAMES HALLIDAY
