Our Review
The New Era vineyard is situated over a gold reef that was mined until ’40, when all recoverable gold had been extracted. The vineyard now includes shiraz, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, tempranillo, merlot, saperavi, sangiovese, touriga nacional, nebbiolo, nero d'Avola and chardonnay. Much of the production is sold to other winemakers in the region. The small amount of wine made has been the subject of favourable reviews. -JAMES HALLIDAY
