Vella Wines

Mark Vella began in Orange, NSW, at Bloodwood Estate in '95. Over the following 28 years, he plied his trade as a viticulturist in Orange, the Hunter Valley and now (and permanently) the Adelaide Hills. Mark also manages vineyards throughout the Adelaide Hills via his vineyard management company Vitiworks, pinpointing outstanding parcels of fruit for the Vella brand. He also supplies contracted fruit to over 60 leading wine producers in SA. Henry Borchardt and Darryl Catlin make the chardonnay, gamay and pinot blanc blend and Franco D’Anna makes the pinot noir. -JAMES HALLIDAY
