Fox Creek Wines

South Australia | McLaren Vale | Kaurna

Our Review

Fox Creek has a winemaking history that dates back to '84 when Helen and Dr Jim Watts purchased a 32ha property in McLaren Vale. The winery has been upgraded to handle the expanded production of Fox Creek, the increase a function of demand for the full-flavoured, robust red wines that make up the portfolio. Part of the estate vineyard dates back to the early 1900s, providing the Old Vine Shiraz that carries the Fox Creek banner.
A series of unfortunate events led Fox Creek Wines to be placed into administration at the end of '24. McLaren Vale's Maxwell Wines purchased the brand in mid-25 with plans to maintain the Fox Creek Wines label. -JAMES HALLIDAY
