Lifelong friends Toby Porter and Alex Katsaros always talked about making wine together as an adjunct to their day jobs in wine. Toby has been a winemaker at d’Arenberg for 15+ years and Alex had 10 years’ experience working with alternative varieties here and abroad. They decided to only make rosé, and more power to them in doing so. McLaren Vale is the sole source for their grapes, focusing on grenache, but they are happy to work with bush-vine mataro. The aim is to produce fresh wines with vibrant fruit. The derivation of the name is as simple as that of their raison d’être – it is Greek for together. -JAMES HALLIDAY
