Our Review
The Bream Creek Vineyard, overlooking Marion Bay and Maria Island on Tasmania’s East Coast, is one of the island state’s oldest vineyards, planted in ’74. The vineyard, then planted mainly to riesling and cabernet sauvignon, with smaller plantings of pinot noir, chardonnay and gewürztraminer, was purchased in ’90 by renowned Tasmanian vigneron Fred Peacock, legendary for the care he bestows on the vines under his direction. As well as increasing pinot noir plantings and adding sauvignon blanc, Fred was also amongst the first in the southern hemisphere to plant schönburger. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Cellar Door
Information
Looking to head out to Bream Creek? Unfortunately we don’t (yet!) have a cellar door at the vineyard….BUT planning is well underway and we hope to open by September 2020.
If you are in and around Hobart, we suggest you drop into Blue Eye Restaurant in Salamanca Square (phone 6223 5297, open Monday to Saturday). Apart from cooking fantastic seafood they also have a great range of our wines available for purchase by the half glass (and you if you buy a couple of half glasses you may be able to twist their arm for a tasting of a few of our other wines!).
Please note that tastings are only provided outside of main services hours (between 12 noon and 3pm and also 6pm to 10pm) and we strongly suggest booking your visit ahead of time, to take sure there is no competing functions or similar.
