Our Review
Gayle Meredith is the owner of this 4ha vineyard in the Broke Fordwich subregion of the Hunter Valley, resplendent with stellar accommodation and a forward-thinking mindset driven by winemaker, Daniel Binet. This manifests as a suite of wines stamped with a welcome savouriness. The hark back to a past, defined as much by the quintessential Hunter twang of sweet earth as it by the uncanny regional blend of pinot noir and shiraz, is captivating. The quest for savoury, versatile expressions is also iterated across innovative work with sangiovese, admirably homegrown rather than outsourced to cooler zones. -NED GOODWIN MW

Cellar Door
Information
Opened in 2020, the cellar door allows you to indulge in the current range of Talits Estate wines. In 2021, Talits Estate was a finalist in the Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association’s “Cellar Door of The Year” Awards. A typical tasting will take you through 8 wines including our popular Rosé (still and sparkling), Blanc de Blancs, Arneis, Semillon, Sangiovese Merlot, Estate Merlot and Pinot Syrah. Tastings are $15 per person, however, current accommodation guests and wine club member tastings are complimentary. You’re also welcome to buy a glass/bottle of wine or a draught schooner of our craft beer “Broke Brewing” and take in the view of our lake, fountain and wildlife. Our cheese and charcuterie are sourced from local providores, Binnorie Dairy (Lovedale) and Hungerford Meat Co (Branxton). Our cakes are lovingly homemade in the cellar door kitchen, perfect to be paired with a barista coffee.
