Punt Road is owned by the Napoleone family, 3rd-generation fruit growers in the Yarra Valley. Their vineyard in Coldstream is one of the most historic sites in Victoria, first planted to vines by Swiss immigrant Hubert De Castella in 1860. The Napoleone vineyard was established on the property in 1987. Tim Shand, chief winemaker since ’14, established a reputation for the consistent quality of all the Punt Road wines. Jarrod Johnson (ex Seville Estate) took over the winemaking reins in ‘23. The 2 main ranges are Punt Road and Airlie Bank, plus a small production of single-vineyard ‘Block’ wines, only available at the cellar door and made only in the best vintages. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Punt Road Wines’ Cellar Door is located at 12 St Huberts Road, Coldstream, approximately 50 minutes from Melbourne in the heart of the Yarra Valley, next door to Meletos restaurant.
Tasting options include a Classic Wine Flight, a curated Food and Wine Experience, and the Vineyard to Barrel Experience, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the estate vineyard and winery. A seasonal small plates menu is also available to enjoy alongside wine by the glass or bottle.
