Third-generation winemaker Jason Conti has assumed control of winemaking, although father Paul (who succeeded his own father in 1968) remains involved in the business. Over the years Paul challenged and redefined industry perceptions and standards. The challenge for Jason is to achieve the same degree of success in a relentlessly and increasingly competitive market environment, and he is doing just that. There are 4 estate vineyards; 3 in Greater Perth, in Carabooda (chenin blanc), at the homestead property in Woodvale (nero d’avola), and in Mariginiup (shiraz), and one in Wilyabrup in Margaret River (planted to chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, muscat à petit grains, malbec, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz).
