A long-established winery with plantings of semillon, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and shiraz. They are happy to keep a relatively low profile, however difficult that may be given the quality of the wines. Jeremy Hodgson has a first-class honours degree in oenology and viticulture, and a CV encompassing winemaking roles with Wise Wines, Cherubino Consultancy and, earlier, Plantagenet, Houghton and Goundrey Wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY

‘The Fermoy Lodge’ is an airy, light-filled sanctuary set on the estate. The home itself is stylishly appointed, with beds for up to 10 people, and all the comforts you’d expect from a luxury stay. An incredible expanse of vines makes up the ‘backyard’, which can be appreciated from one of the many large windows overlooking the estate. 'The Lodge' is a 4-bedroom, self-contained private residence nestled among the vines featuring picturesque views of our magnificent Wilyabrup vineyard and surrounding bushland. The 4-bedroom house features 1 king-size bedroom with ensuite, 1 queen-size bedroom with ensuite, 1 queen-size bedroom and a 2x single-bed bedroom. Plus a bathroom, country-style kitchen, dining area, 2x lounging rooms, wood fireplace, outdoor patio with barbecue and private garden. Relax, unwind and recharge with a stay at the Fermoy Lodge.
