Thunderstone

A new label from Snake + Herring founders Tony Davis and Redmond Sweeny, Thunderstone – a reference to the wild and ancient Porongurup range – is underpinned by the belief that this tiny Great Southern subregion should be respected and recognised for its unique, regionally defining features, particularly its granite soils. That they yield wines of precision and intensity is evident in the range, which so far comprises riesling, chardonnay and pinot noir, all sourced from the Shepherd’s Hut vineyard for the inaugural vintage in ’24. -HALLIDAY TEAM
